I would like to stay 3 nights in Havana at Comodoro and 4 nights at TRYP Peninsula. How do I go about booking this. All the brochues do not have this combination and I can only find 1 tour operator that books TRYP Penisula. Your help would be appreciated. Coming from Toronto 2 adults 1 child 7 years old.

Hi, you should be able to book directly with the hotels (although packages are usually cheaper).
Tryp Peninsula is: http://www.tryppeninsulavaradero.solmelia.com/
For Hotel Comodoro try:
http://www.cubahotelbookings.com/hotel_availability_avc.asp?lID=1&hID=242
There is a Tryp hotel in Havana as well. Perhaps you'd be able to get a package with Tryp by staying with Tryp in both locations.
Good luck.
It should be with Air Transat Holidays that you are finding it in...You may be able to do what they call a two centre holiday. Get your TA to call ATH and see if they can do that. Also, you may be able to buy the 7 night air with 4 nights hotel. This is a special request, but they may be able to do it.
Most Canadian tour companies offer air-only to most vacation destinations, including Cuba. Book that, and your hotels separately.
Borrow a couple of travel books such as Fodor's, Frommer's, Ulysses, Lonely Planet, from the public library to get hotel ideas and contact information. Or you may decide to stay in a casa particular (a person's home).
In Havana we stayed at both Nacional and the Plaza. The location of Plaza is much better for walking to Old Havana and the museums, but make sure to get a room facing the courtyard as the street noise is bad (camel buses). These hotels are called 4-5* but are closer to a European 3*.
To get around, Havanatur buses are inexpensive, pick you up and drop you off at your hotel, and they have booking offices in most Havana hotels. Also, you can often book a cab for the same price as a first-class bus.
