Grenadines Sailing Day Trip?
Hello hello!
Based on some previous posts, I'm considering booking the Scaramouche trip from Union Island to Mayreau, Tobago Cays, and Palm Island in one day. It's through Sunsation Tours (http://grenadasunsation.com/water.htm).
Does anyone know if they are the only ones that offer the trip from Grenada? Are there better options? We are going at the end of this month.
They trip is $320 pp all inclusive (hotel transport to airport, airport fees, lunch and drinks). The price sounds similar to other reports and people say it's the highlight of their trip.
Thanks for your feedback!

Hi hulapig!
You will love this trip! There are other tour companies that offer this package, but it's all pretty much the same -- fly SVG Air, then it's either Scaramouche or Yannis Sail. We did the Yannis Sail, which is on a catamaran instead of a wooden schooner, but the same itinerary. Either one is great. Enjoy your trip and don't forget to post a trip report when you get back.

just FYI for future readers:
looked up SVG flights from Grenada to Union Island and it's $157 roundtrip with 5% tax and $15 fee.
Yannis Sail is $75 each, so if you factor in getting a car/taxi to the airport in Grenada, the departure fee, etc. then the Scaramouche trip is only a bit more.
so in the end it's basically just what kind of boat you want to be on.

We did this trip from St Lucia in 2004. You are going to love it. Absolutely beautiful area. Our price with air, sail and transfers was $300pp. We went with Yannis. It was a good sized boat, not crowded at all. They served a nice, fresh lunch and some very potent rum punch! Have fun!
