Grenada in August?

Jump to last reply

The whole family has a week in August that works for a vacation, and we are trying to decide whether the Carribean makes sense. Obvious, Winter or Spring would be more logical, but Grenada has always been a desireable destination - we haven't been to the islands in a long while. Since it's out of hurricane range, that wouldn't be the concern that islands to the north would present.
But the question is: is it just too darned hot?
If you have experience with Grenada, could you recommend accommodations (on/near a nice beach) with kitchen facilities? How about some fun things to do with active, outdoors oriented boys (12 and 8)? The "rain forest" aspect of Grenada's central region sound appealing.
Thanks.
- Bill
