My husband and I are planning a vacation to Spice Island Beach Resort for next February. I've read some of the posts about Grand Anse beach and I have some concerns. Does anyone know if the beach area surrounding Spice Island is busy (other resorts/restaurants close by)? Is there any privacy from the Whirlpool beachfront suites on your patio if you are on the beach level? Is the Spice Island beachfront crowded and do you need to get down early to reserve a chair/ (I hate that!). Any recommendations of rooms to avoid?
Thanks,
Linda

Hello Linda,
We stayed at SI a few years ago. It has a really nice stretch of beach that is very quiet and does not get much traffic. (But, all the beaches are public, and so it does get some vendors who are rather insistent - especially in off season.)
It is not close by other resorts, but there is one within walking distance.
We stayed in a whirlpool beachfront room, and the patio is very small and not rally very good for sitting out on. There is privacy there because the builings are staggered and not right next to each other, and they are on a very quiet part of the beach.
Don't have to worry about a chair. (But we were there during off season, so things might be a little more "active" in Feb.)
Have fun!
