Hi guys,
I did a search for this but didn't find much. We're traveling to CG in late May and anticipate staying on SMB. Can you tell me where the best off beach snorkeling is? We'd love it if we could just come out from our room/condo and snorkel right there.
I also understand that Eden Rock and Wreck of the Cali are good snorkeling spots. Can you recommend them or anywhere else?
Thanks!

The condos on the north end of 7MB have some fair snorkeling. Eden Rock and the sights in George Town harbour are pretty good, but I have found the better snorkeling on the island to be on the north side, opposite shore from 7MB.
Thanks, TurtleTagger. How is the surf on the north side? I thought I had read it is not as calm as SMB. Where would you recommend there?
Dec-Mar can be windy and choppy, Apr-Nov is usually calm as a bath tub. Beaches not as nice as 7MB. If you don't mind a bit of isolation, Northern Lights condos have some of the best snorkeling out the door (nothing walkable in terms of dinning or drinking). Plenty of rental home like Far Tortuga in North Side/Old Man Bay. A slew of options (homes and condos) over in Rum Point and Cayman Kai, with some closer dinning and drinking options. Good snorkeling off the Retreat condo, where I usually go to snorkel when in that part of the island.
