Grand Cayman in the rain

My husband and I will be arriving in Grand Cayman for a week's vacation on 11/3. Looking at the forecast, it seems like there will be a lot of rain during our stay. Does anyone have suggestions for rainy day activities there? We are staying at The Reef (East End) and looking forward to exploring some parts of GCM that we haven't seen on previous visits. We will have a rental car. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

East End has good scuba diving. Take a resort course and a group shallow dive. It doesn't rain underwater and that's where most of Cayman's beauty is. Also go out to Rum Pointe. Starfish hunting along the beach in the rain can be romantic.

We just got back Saturday after staying two weeks at The Reef. Checkout Caycompass, they have a 15 day forecast. I see rain on Sunday and Monday only. The next rain is Sunday November 11. The East End gets less rain than George Town and SMB.

If it does rain you can just sit on your deck and enjoy the view. One night we had a little shower after we were at the beach bar and no one left, just move around the bar to where we wouldn't get wet.

I doubt you'll get a totally rainy day at this time. This morning I rode my bike from GT to The Reef (23 miles... training for a race!) and it was just gorgeous. Hard work, but I felt so lucky to call Cayman my home and to be able to work away from the busy end of the island !

Now, if it does rain for a prolonged period...hmm.. we are very much geared up for the outdoors, but there is always duty free shopping, Cayman museum, a visit to Pure Art, the National Gallery, a trip to the movies (bring a sweater, a/c like ice!), a game of squash at the squash club.

Heck, just go snorkelling...

Tom, we will be in Grand Cayman from Nov. 15-21. I also noticed that rain is in the forecast everyday. Is this a rainy season? We are both divers but she doesn't like to go as much as I do. Is it too windy for good diving?

It's been strange weather the last couple of weeks, cooler and windier than usual for the time of year(though still in the low 80s).

Not too windy for diving though, Ocean Frontiers can dive the S, E, and N coasts, so they can always find one or more direction to dive in.

It's not rainy season now, but we have been having at least some periods of drizzle each day for the last week or so, but generally pretty sunny.....if it is like the last week or so, you'll be just fine.
