We took our family to the Cayman's last March and stayed at Discovery Point Villas. They were ok, probably as good as the others, and I think were close to Anchorage. Watch out for winter weather there, the locals said March was the first month without a huge amount of rain.

Me again! We walked by all of these and I will say the nicest were Christopher Columbus and London House. Victoria House looked like a boarding school to me...

meta, also check out whats available at the Beachcomber on SMB:

This is a great location near the Strand (grocery store and restaurants)and a very nice place to stay. I highly recommend Plantana but you would need to rent a car if staying there.

Opps, I now see you have been looking into the Beachcomber. It would be a very good choice if not renting a car. Are you planning to rent a car? If not then the Beachcomber, Caribbean Club, Casa Caribe (nice), and the Islands Club are in a short walking distance of Fosters grocery store and many restaurants. The others you mentioned are north of the Westin and a car would surly be best. I was told not to stay at Christopher Columbus as they are not kept up well inside. Anything south of the Hyatt (closer to Georgetown and the ship port) there is little or no beach. If you haven't already, check out www.caymanvacations.com, we made our reservations with them and Ian was great to deal with. He got us our oceanfront condo at Plantana after Marci (nice lady in the office there) at Plantana told us several times oceanfront was sold out for our dates.

Unless there has been a big change, Christoper Columbus is well maintained, both inside and out. Have stayed there before and would stay there again.

Plantana wants over $600 a night and Beachcomber is close. Villas of Galleon is a bit less, but it seems school vacation week in Feb is high everywhere. Also, availability is so limited, that they are not discounting at all.

Meta,

If you go to www.caymanvacations.com, Plantana lists several options well below $600, depending on what type of unit you are looking for. The most expensive unit they offer (2 bedroom Ocean Front Penthouse)is listed at $590, but many others listed way below that. Check it out. Hope this helps.
