Girls Week (late 20s) Recommendation

Hi! I'm looking for recommendations for locations in the caribbean for a group of 4 girls (ages 26-28) for a vacation. We'd like to be on the beach and have opportunities to do excursions and have bars and restaurants nearby. We'd like a somewhat laid back area, but not too laid back (we're not too rowdy of a group).

Any Accommodation on the south coast of Barbados would be perfect for you. I'd keep away from anything directly in The Gap unless you'd be staying right in the heart of activity (or maybe you'd like that if that isn't too rowdy for you).

If you stay in the area of south Friar's in St Kitts you'd be near The Strip where there's usually quite a bit of activity but it isn't far from any tourism-oriented accommodation to The Strip.

Apartments and Villas may be the best route for you in terms of accommodation type to get the best value for the money. I usually check out caribbeantraveller.com for Caribbean travel info.

DeeRegis' suggestion for St. Kitts is spot on BUT he/she has confused South Friars Beach with South Frigate Bay. While the two beach areas are about 1.5 miles apart they are separated by a small mountain and here are no accommodations near South Friars - just two beaches, North Friars which is on the Atlantic and South Friars which is on the Caribbean. There is an upscale restaurant and a couple of beach bars on South Friars.

The closest accommodations are in the Frigate Bay area - The Marriott and several different "rental condos" complexes are on North Frigate Bay (the Atlantic side) and Timothy Beach Resort and several other "rental condos" complexes are on South Frigate Bay (the Caribbean side). You'll also find a dozen or so restaurants and beach bars in the Frigate Bay area - half of which are on the beach at South Frigate Bay aptly known as "The Strip".
