Girls 40th Birthday Caribbean Getaway Idea?
My sister and I will be turning 40 next year and are looking for a good Carribbean destination, hotel ideas for our trip. We are looking at St. Johns or Thomas, but we don't want to be at a couple or honeymoon resort type place. Any suggestions?

I"m on the Anguilla bandwagon today. It's no secret that I love this island, but I think it would be a perfect fit for you and your sister. If you are looking for something a little more moderate, I would suggest KU resort. It is on a beautiful beach. If you are going all out I would say the Cuisinart resort. It's a fantastic property on a beautiful beach. There are great restaurants on Anguilla and the people are some of the most lovely you will ever meet. If you choose Cuisinart there is also a spa to take advantage of. I think it would be a great 40th birthday and one more thing-can I come too?

My sister and two girlfriends did St John in January for our girls getaway. We rented a villa and had a blast. We are not big night life people, we justed wanted beach time and great snorkeling and this was the best. It was my second time to the island and their 1st. We did do a day trip to the BVI's which was wonderful also. My vote is St John, especially if you just want to relax.

when are you going? My girlfriends and I are doing a 40th celebratory girls only vacay too in 2010 (Feb.)...! I am researching places as well...but went to Belize 2 years ago and absolutely LOVED it!! Highly recommended! Stayed in Ambergris Caye.
