It seems that St. Barts has really expensive hotels, has anyone stayed at a nice place that is under $100? Carol

Nope.
Not a chance, amigo!!!!
YES. Its called the Hotel Normandie in Lorient. Its a small family owned 8 room inn with a pool. Not 4 star but clean and quiet. Cost about between $70-$80 depending on season more or less. If you are on a budget , you may wish to consider it.
Topping for Bertie.
