There was a recent review of the Four Seasons Nevis in the Wall Street Journal and the major complaint seemed to be there were too many kids. Prepare yourself, school is out and there will be plenty of kids there. Even when school is in session, there seem to be plenty of kids at the Caribbean resorts. 4 Seasons tries to attract families with kids programs and kids meals, etc. If you expect a kids free environment you will be disappointed.

I read that same report, amd I was amazed that this hotel had 200 rooms and also catered to corporate groups. I have now taken it off my list, as I do not care about golf. Now as for the kids all the 5 star resorts have kids programs, you will have a few I am sure, but June is off season and also honeymoon time it will probaly be fine!

With all due respect, I am trying to avoid a honeymoon filled with other people's children.

Unless you go to a "couples only" resort (which, in my opinion are far and few between, there are not enough of them) you better plan for kids, esp. in June! People have the means to take their kids to expensive places (and do it in the school season also) so don't let the Four Seasons lull you into a feeling you will be without screaming and loud noises. For a honeymoon, do a couples only, otherwise bring a walkman and keep it on at the pool and beach, it might help you drown out the noise.

Would love to hear about this resort, how is it since hurricane Lenny. It has received number 1 for service but how is it? Is is busy? how is the food? How is the beach? How are the rooms? How is Nevis? I am skeptical of magazine surveys as it amazes me how the Greenbrier always gets a top rating, and every drug company has a boondoogle at this place. Is it for golfers only? I would love to know. Help!

The Greenbrier is great but the drug companies are one of the few companies that rake in oddles of money so they can send everyone there for the boondoogles.
Four Seasons did a terrific job, I hear, redoing after Lenny. Have a friend who is there frequently and can't stop talking about how wonderful it is now! The beach is not an "OH WOW!" one and golfers love the course.

The problem with reader surveys is that the loyal-to-one-resort guest will vote it top again and again yet never experience and compare it to others. Of course, I am not saying that Four Seasons doesn't deserve #1 but seems to me that with Cap and Four Seasons both being reopened less than a year, there were lots of votes on how they used to be! And, I am pretty sure they are wonderful again not have stayed at either - but did visit Cap when on Anguilla! And when there are major changes at a resort, such as Little Dix becoming a family destination with a Kids' Club, sealing up the rooms tite for a/c and other changes, I wonder why things that that don't change the voting.
