First trip trip Puerto Rico
We are tentatively planning a trip to Puerto Rico, staying at the
Courtyard at Isle Verde. Is the beach cluttered with sea weed? We found out stay was less than pleasant in Punta Cana because the beach was inundated with sea weed, We mean a lot of the stuff. It never let up. Is this the case here? We will be going in April. We basically just lie on a beach all day. Any thoughts.

When were you in Punta Cana? The reason I ask is in 2015 (and also 2007, if my memory hasn't failed me) there was a big influx of Sargassum Seaweed throughout the Caribbean that affected a large number of islands, including the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. Depending on the island the 2015 "seaweed bloom" lasted several months but dissipated in late 2015 and early 2016.
Right now, seaweed isn't a problem on the Isla (not Isle) Verde beaches, or in Punta Cana, for that matter. What the situation will be next April on Isla Verde, Punta Cana or any other island in the Caribbean is something only Mother Nature knows. Odds are, however, highly in your favor that you won't see any seaweed.

I have stayed on Isla Verde beach (not that the Courtyard) many times. Most times, there is not a seaweed issue. There have been a couple of trips there when there was a ton of seaweed. I am not sure why it happened those few times but it definitely has been only a handfule of times out of probably 25 times I've been there.
