I just want to mention that there are three (3) Fiesta Americana hotels in Cancun : the Fiesta Americana (the "oldest" one), Fiesta Americana Condesa, and Fiesta Americana Coral Beach (the most luxurious one and most recent one).

I would like to say I was at the Fiesta Americana Coral Beach in 1992 and it was a beautiful Hotel. Everybody that would walk by would ask how much to stay here. I would answer the following "Well worth every Penny Spent". Really it is a great Hotel in a great location and I would recommend it to anybody.....

Fiesta Americana Cancun is a very nice hotel, rated 6 star in all books that I know of. We haven't stayed there but have friends that have. We also visited that hotel 2 years ago when we were in Cancun and thought it was very nice. Our friends said they would stay there again! We stayed at Camino Real and will stay there again this year. We love it there. Have fun. You can't go wrong. Your hotel is in a very nice location although waters could be a little rough at times. No problem.!

We stayed at the Fiesta Americian Cancun about 4 years ago and thought it was great..the beach is small but nice, the hotel lobby and public rooms were lovely; our room was smallish but very clean and nice. Right across the street is the more "Mexican" Mall and another, more upscale, mall is within a short walking distance. The hotel is right "in the middle" of a lot of activity; it is not a secluded resort hotel but this is what we liked about it. The bus stops are right there - quite a white knuckle ride - and they take you to all the other malls and downtown for pennies
