Family trip tp PR in December

We are going to PR from December 19th -24 Myself , my husband and my 2 sons 16 & 20.
We are staying at the Marriot Stellaris Casino . I have already gotten some great food advice. Now I'm trying to narrow down what we should do. The rainforest seemed like something fun to do. The boys would like to take a snorkeling trip. Any other suggestions? Is there anything we can all do at night? My husband is also loooking for a place to get hand rolled cigars.
Thanks so much for your help!

Definitely explore Old San Juan and El Morro.

The Rainforest will be good (but don't expect to see a lot of animals - it's more about the plants, trees, insects and birds. I just say this because I know some people who were disappointed).

For snorkeling - I would check at your hotel or do a google search for snorkeling tours. There is good snorkeling on the east side of the island around Fajardo. There must be some tours. Fajardo is about an hour away from San Juan.

Regarding hand rolled cigars, the only place I know of is at El San Juan hotel and casino - on the weekends they usually have a guy in the lobby area hand rolling cigars. That said, I am sure there must be other places and hopefully someone else with chime in with additional information.

Thanks tom for the info. It's much appreciated. What's your thought on things to do at night that we can all do together?
Thanks again!

You're welcome beth.

I don't know if I can help you out with what you can do as a family at night. I've never traveled to Puerto Rico with kids (my nights there tend to involve dinner, drinks and gambling). There is always cockfighting! (just kidding, although they do have that there oddly enough).

LOL Tom, I'm sure my husband plans to have dinner, drinks and gamble. How is the casino at the Marriot?

The casino at the Marriott is nice but small. They have all of the major table games - but just a few tables of each. And of course, all the slot machines you need. The lobby area is pretty nice - there is usually a band, lots of people and dancing on weekends. Not sure about during the week.

Hope you have a great time!

We were not in PR when the moon cooperated, but if you are, I think your family would love this: http://www.biobay.com/
