Exuma or South Andros -- snorkling in February

Would it be warm enough and convenient to do snorkling off beach in early February? Any suggestions on where to stay?
Thanks!

We've already chosen Exuma - staying at the Four Seasons, should we bother bringing the snorkeling gear? Don't want to drag the stuff along unless there's some good snorkeling, and would welcome advice, thanks.

the end of the story--
Thanks for everyone's help! Jesse was lovely and his place seemed good and rates seemed reasonable. We decided, though, the waters were too cool. We found a good flight and place to stay in...Rome, so that's the trip for now.

dear travel73082,
Thanks. I agree with you. We have been to the Bahmas twice, in July and June, and found the waters and weather quite wonderful.
