End of Nov-Dec 2 Mature Singles
Hoping this Forum can help guide us. We are searching to vacation on a very sunny warm island, last week of Nov-1week of Dec. Been to Aruba to many times, interested in a beautiful beach would love a oceanfront room onto the beach or close by and some night life.

We need more to go on to be of real help. Almost every island from the Turks & Caicos south will be sunny & warm at that time and all except one or two have wonderful beaches, oceanfront rooms and some type of nightlife.
It's not clear from your post if you are planning a 1 or 2 week trip - are you going the last full week in November, the first full week in December, or both?
What's your budget? - give a dollar range not nebulous terms like "affordable" or "won't break the bank.
Where are you flying from?
How long are you willing to travel to reach your destination?
Are you willing to take one or more connecting flights on small aircraft or take ferry rides to reach your destination?
What do you like to do beside sit on the beach and enjoy "some nightlife".
What did you like about Aruba? What didn't you like?
In the meantime look at St. Martin, St. Thomas, Antigua, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic Cancun, Cozumel and Jamaica - they all have nice beaches, oceanfront accommodations (in many price ranges) and plenty of nightlife.

That's not a bad idea (Playa del Carmen). There are certainly beautiful beaches in that area, and plenty of nightlife right there in that city. I don't know about the oceanfront rooms right on the beach with good proximity to the nightlife but maybe somebody does (I thought most of those type resorts were outside of town).
I wouldn't recommend Cozumel. It's full of cruise ships and isn't really that exciting a place, and it then isn't so easy to do sightseeing from that island (assuming you want to do something other than the beach and nightlife). I don't know if they have any decent nightlife or not, actually, I think it's better for those who are really into diving or something like that, rather than someone just wanting a good vacation. I guess if your idea of great nightlife is Senor Frog's, Carlos n Charlie or Hard Rock Cafe, it would be great. I think Playa del Carmen has a much wider variety of places and is more sophisticated.
Everybody I know that goes to Jamaica hates it FWIW (well, strongly dislikes it and would enver go again), and you can't really go anywhere in the Dominican Republic, you are just stuck in your resort hotel, aren't you.
