Dear Peter: Did you ever make it to El Senador? If so, how was your trip? We're leaving for Cayo Coco (El Senador) next week.
Joann,
I hope you post a trip report when you get back. I'm in initial plannings and would love to know your thoughts on the all inclusive resort.
Have a great trip!
We just returned Thursday from El Senador. It was FABULOUS! The weather was terrific (despite being in rainy season - didn't rain a drop until the night we left), the beach was spectacular, the service was great and the food terrific! El Senador is Canadian-owned and Cuban operated. Check out their website at el-senador.com (which I didn't discover until we got home)and it's a good source of information about the resort (great pictures) This resort is all-inclusive and there was no pressure to tip anyone though we did tip a few of the personnel because of the great service we received. My children were quite happy with the facilities and I was happy with the food. Apparently, the chefs are Canadian (from Montreal) and 75% of the food is imported from Montreal via Miami. We were happy with the selection and taste. If you need any specific info post a request but check out the website, too.
Happy vacation planning!
