Try Air Jamaica. They may have direct flight from Miami or New York. You will not have much luck with getting a direct flight from any major US city as US carriers do not fly direct to St Lucia - you have to go via San Juan and connect on American Eagle or LIAT.
Air Jamaica is having specials to St. Lucia, starting now thru the end of June 2003! I called them directly, and the prices are better than online if you call.
We HATE taking AA via Newark and connecting in San Juan, then American Eagle from there to Castries. We're trying JFK this time with just a stop (not change) in Barbados via Air Jamaica.
Hope this helps - have a GREAT time in St. Lucia!
If you live in the North East U.S., you may want to look into flying into Toronto, as there is a direct flight from Toronto to St. Lucia once weekly in the low season and perhaps more often in the high season. Additionally, you may actually end up saving money when you purchase your flight in Canadian dollar.
Two years ago, my husband and I got round-trip airfare to St. Lucia through Apple Vacations for about $170 per person. Check with your travel agent to see if Apple Vacations is offering any air-only deals to St. Lucia. These are charter flights.
Check with your travel agent about charters. A word of caution: Do not fly with Miami Air! You will be starving after sitting on their planes for 12 hours and your vacation time will have some serious dents from their disorganization.
