Honestly, I researched the activities in Aruba to death before I went, and I have never heard of that. <BR><BR>Maybe you'll have better luck on the Aruba board<BR><BR>www.aruba.com<BR><BR>Good luck!

Taken from aruba.com------<BR><BR> Many people that are touring the island by jeep or scooter enjoy driving around spectacles such as the massive sand dunes at Boca Prins on the north east coast. But the best way to enjoy them is to don some hardy clothing and do a little dune sliding. Although some have claimed a bit of sand burning, many can attest to the good fun it can be to catapult yourself from the top of a sand dune to the bottom!<BR>"California Dunes" at Hudishibana<BR>

I dragged jeans, etc., to do this in 1992 and never did and have been back numerous time and still never did it. I don't think it is that popular and if you don't plan on a renting a car, you won't be able to access them.

I've been to Aruba many, many times and ahve never seen this. The area I can think of that ould be hilly enough is near the natural pool but it is also too rocky and rough for any "sliding". Also - where we live on Cape Cod - "dune sliding" is against the law since it detroys the natural ecosystem and contributes to severe erosion of the beach and landscape. I would think you could find a different way to amuse yourself - like wind surfing, fishing, gambling, shopping - or the tons of other things to do in Aruba.

Oh ye of little experience.<BR>I've been to the dunes and have seen what you are calling dune sliding...but it certainly isn't among the top 200 things to do in Aruba.<BR>The dunes aren't "massive" as someone said above, and the slide is too short and the sand to grainy to allow any significant momentum to build to make it fun.<BR>Go see the dunes for their unique beauty.<BR>Don't bother bringing materials for sliding.
