I know my husband has to wear long pants and a collare shirt at dinner (he is not happy about that!). But can I wear cropped pants? Or do I hae to wear long pants or a dress?

I would be very surprised if SIBR insisted in long pants at all during the summer months. Have you considered writing to them to inquire if a nice pair of tailored shorts would be acceptable for evening dress? Never having eaten dinner there, I have no personal experience to speak from, but if even Malliouhana has somewhat relaxed on the long pants requirement, I'd be surprised that SIBR hasn't.
Cropped pants are ok at Oliver's. No one really "polices" the attire... there was a guy wearing jeans, a regular polo shirt (ie. not fancy-looking polo), and sneakers for dinner when I was there and no one made a big deal. I did find that the women, in general, dressed up more so than the men.
Will you be at SIBR on a Wednesday? That's when the Hopkin family hosts a cocktail party at their home for their guests.
Darn, we will be at SIBR starting on a Thursday! Too bad; the cocktail party would have been nice to attend.
