Dreams Punta Cana vs. Iberostar Bavaro Resort- separate bedroom
Could you tell me if either of these have suites with a bedroom separated by a door from the living area? Traveling with two small children...thanks for your help! We don't need 2 bedrooms, just a door with one bedroom.

We stayed at the Iberostar Bavaro Suites about 4 years ago. Unless they have renovated, there was no door between the sleeping area and the living area. The only difference was that the living area was a step or two down from the sleeping area, but it was all open.

This particular resort actually has three parts. The most upscale is Iberostar Bavaro, which has rooms in 2-story units; the other two sections have huge hotel blocks with a lot of standard rooms. Iberostar added some family apartment-style rooms, which is what the employee may be referring to. I believe these have separate bedrooms, but I haven't seen the units, and I don't know which section of the resort they are in. What shirleyk is describing are the regular rooms at the Iberostar Bavaro section of the resort. Iberostar Dominicana and Punta Cana have regular rooms (no step-down to "living" area)
