Dream trip for BFFs

Jump to last reply

Hi all -- I need so much help. I want to take my best friend to the Caribbean next year. My budget is only about $4,000 total (maybe $5,000 if I'm lucky), but I want it to be as luxurious as possible. What we're looking for: (preferably) adults only, so we can get some dang peace & quiet; amazing snorkeling; gorgeous beaches; great food. Would be nice if we could get massages, and maybe a boat or helicopter ride?? She's more fit and adventurous than I am; she likes hiking, rowing, paddle boarding, etc; I'm more a sit on the beach and drink type of gal (LOL), but I love snorkeling so that's a must. The important thing is that we BOTH have fun. I've never planned a trip. I've never used a travel agent (should I? How can I find a good one I can trust? I have AAA, should I use them??) Wherever we go, it'll be in off-season to be cheaper. We both have passports. She speaks Spanish and I speak French. I've been to Cozumel; she's been to Belize and Costa Rica, so we want to go somewhere we haven't been. I want to give her the trip of a lifetime for us both, for being such an amazing friend to me. I know this is a lot, but any advice would be wonderful. Thank you so much. L.
