Hi!
My husband and I are looking to travel to the DR in June for our 5th anniversary. We want an all-inclusive resort, preferably adults-only, but not required. I've done some research and have narrowed it down to Excellence Punta Cana, Majestic Elegance Punta Cana, and Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe. All seem to get really good rankings and reviews on Tripadvisor, but I was wondering if anyone had any strong feelings about any of these hotels to help sway me one way or the other? We prefer chilling on the beach drinking, but wouldn't mind having a few fun things to do as well, if that helps.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I should clarify Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe OR Beach Resort are options...
Bump... anyone?
All of these resorts will suit you if that's what you're looking for. Excellence is furthest from the airport, if that's a consideration. I think the Barcelo is closest. The Hard Rock, in Macao area of Punta Cana, Iberostar Grand, Paradisus Palma Real, and Catalonia Royal Resort (all in Bavaro) get our highest recommendation.
My advice: regardless of which resort you choose, upgrade as much as you can afford. The higher levels of concierge service add tremendously to the experience and help you avoid some of the crowds. That's particularly true at the Barcelo and Hard Rock resorts, which are absolutely gigantic complexes.
