Dominican Republic - Closures, Limitations Over Easter Weekend

Does anyone know the extent of activity limitations during holy week and Easter weekend in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic?

Do the resorts offer the same scheduled activities as normal or are the activities limited?
Are water sports (kayaks, canoes) still available for use?
How about things like jet skis?
Do excursions still run?

Any information you might be able to share would be very much appreciated.

ciprofloxicin--before you worry about activities make sure you take your antibiotics or you will spend your time in the bathroom not on the water.

Just sayin'---been there.

The fact that it is Easter will have no effect on availability of activities, excursions, water sports, jet skis, etc - either on or off resort.

I have never been to DR, but my friend and her family went for the first time this year and all of them suffered tummy problems at their AI. On the plus side, they all lost weight.

Assuming you are talking about a resort, I don't see why the schedule would change.

But I would guess there are some closures, like of business or restaurants, in the towns and cities around the island due to Santa Semana.

I was there last Easter. A few stores and some businesses were closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, but at the beach in Bavaro, people were enjoying the beach and I remember para sailing and I think people were on jet skis.
