Have the opportunity to go to Dominica for 3 days. Will there be enough to do to keep me busy while my other half dives? Are there any beaches to speak of? What is the weather like in Feb? ANY info would be helpful--got lots off the web, but there is nothing like feedback from those who have been there! Happy New Year!
Dominica for non-diver--should I bother?

just returned from dominica on dec.15,1997. went to dive however there are a ton of other things to do. you can go on whale watching tours sign up for walks/hikes in the rain forest do some great bird watching or just tour about the island. no real beaches to speak of mostly made up of rocks but most of the places have decks or other areas for sunbathing. Town on saturdays is fun, they have a open market where the local farmers display their fruits and spices its interesting
Had a cruise stop there two years ago. One look at the island and our family deceided to stay on the boat. No beaches. No nice hotels or resturants. Those who went on to the island came back complaining. Many islanders hassling.
I HAVE PLANNED A VACATION AT CASA DE CAMPO IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. DO YOU KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY SHOTS OR VACCINATIONS THAT I NEED?
