Your best bet for a nonstop flight would be from Montreal. There's nothing from the U.S. that I'm aware of.
Thank you for the reply.
I have found a flight out of miami to Martinique.
Now I am looking for a small hotel or guesthouse to stay for a few days with the little dog. Friends will pick me up to take me sailing with the dog. I should stay on the south end of Martinique, my friends will be coming from St. Vincent.
what airline did you find to fly non-stop from miami to martinique - i couldn't find one?
i would do some serious investigating on this - i advise a travel agent. martinique is french and may have numerous regulations including health certification from a vetrinarian a/or quarantine for the dog. you do not want to get on island and find this out. not to mention that if you are changing planes somewhere enroute that island may have regulations too. the dog would probably have to be claimed and rechecked.
repost with martinique in the title to get suggestions on where to stay.
The dog is checked by a vetenarian and has her travelpaper and a chip.
The Flight is AiR France #3943, going from Miami to Port-de-France, with stops, no changing planes in Haiti and Guateloupe. I have it checked out again.
Thank you
ttvilla, sounds like you have been very thorough, and will have a wonderful adventure sailing with the your lucky pup!
i have traveled often with my pups and always get quite nervous putting them through checked luggage. honestly the dogs don't seem as bothered as i do. did you see the item in the news recently about the pilot that goes into the baggage compartment and takes a pic of your dog to show you that all is well...
