Delta Las Brisas

We're planning our first trip to Cuba and have booked at this hotel. However, I'm concerned about comments I've read about the food being "greasy" Are there low-fat alternatives like fruit and salad, and if so are they safe to eat? Is this the best choice of hotel in the Holguin area?
, I've also read that used clothing is needed by the Cubans. Would larger sizes be acceptable?
Any general advice from someone who's been there would be welcome!
