Day trips to other resorts from Little Dix Bay?

We are headign to Little Dix for our honeymoon in June, and would really like to take day trips to some other resorts, such as Caneel Bay/St. John and Peter Island, BVI... I know we can arrange Caneel through Little Dix b/c they are both Rosewood properties, but do you know anything about arranging a day trip to Peter Island? Hwo woul dwe do this, or could we? Thank you very much!

When I stayed at LDB we took a day snorkle trip to Norman Island. On the way back the boat stopped at Peter Island as part of the package. The staff at LDB will set up any type of day trip you want or put you in touch with the proper tour operator. All you have to do is ask, show-up and, of course, pay.

Hey Sunnyboy... thanks for the info! Just curious - how much was that day trip? Just trying to gage cost for this type of thing. Thank you very much!

My memory is a bit hazy. I think it was around $50 or $60 per person. All I really remember is at the time I thought it was about the same as I've paid elsewhere in the Caribbean for similar excursions. Sorry I can't be more specific.

We did the opposite. Stayed at Peter Island and took a day trip to see Little Dix and others. The hotel arranged it, as the other poster suggested. In our case it was a full day, included lunch, had them drop us off for a while at a secluded beach, etc. I believe the cost was around $200. Did the same thing in St. John last year and it was also about $200, but there were four of us. If you call or e-mail Little Dix they will give you all the info, options, and costs.

Little Dix has a shuttle boat going to Tortola, Peter Island's shuttle boat will pick you up there. If you have to make a decision (timewise)between Peter Island and Cannel Bay, go to Peter Island. I would suggest another day trip: do a sailing trip to the neighbouring island of Anegada.
Enjoy your stay in the BVI's!

Exploring the BVI from LDB is one of the neat parts of staying there. We took a small charter boat and visited The Bitter End Yacht Club, Biras Creek, and the Baths. There is the charter to Tortola where we bought the Tshirt and returned to LDB. VGorda is not a good land cruise island but is accessible by boat.
