Day Trips from San Juan to snorkel or rain forest

Jump to last reply

I'm going to Puerto Rico over Thanksgiving and am staying in Condado. Don't want to rent a car. Does anyone have any experience with a good day tour company they can recommend for about a half day snorkeling (around Fajardo seems to be the usual) or to the rain forest?

I've checked online and in guidebooks and there seem to be only a few frequently mentioned so there isn't a lot of choice. The names I've found that seem the best-reviewed are Caribe Aquatic Adventures (for snorkeling) run by a woman named Karen Vega, and Castillo Tours which does both types of outings. I checked Viator but they use Castillo, anyway. I've read pretty bad reviews of the others (Ecoaction Tours and Funcat for catamaran/snorkeling), so I think I'm ruling them out.

thanks
