I have plane tickets purchased for a two week stay in Curacao and Bonaire for the first couple of weeks in December.
Our plan is to spend a few days in Curacao, head to Bonaire for probably five days, then back to Curacao for the rest of the stay.
We're moderate travelers, and avoid chain hotels whenever possible. For our first few days, I'm thinking Limestone Holiday. Prices don't seem too bad, car rental is included, and I like the looks of it. Any opinions?
I haven't really looked seriously into lodging on Bonaire yet. Open to any suggestions, although probably not any sort of large resort.
For the last part of our trip, back on Curacao, I'm considering not booking until we arrive on the island. We can look around, see what looks good and book before we leave for Bonaire. I can't imagine availability will be an issue in that time frame, but, will certainly defer to people who travel there or live there.
Last question, at least for now, is there an active message board for travel to Curacao? I've found one for Bonaire, so far no luck with Curacao. Thanks in advance.

Hi JeanH,
We visited Curacao this past Nov. on our Caribbean cruise. Of the 6 islands we visited, we loved Curacao the best. Where you will be doing a land trip, I can't advise you on specific things to do and see, where to stay etc. If you go to the Cruise Critic boards, you will find lots of info on Curacao. Here's the link:
http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=81
If you can't open the link, just go to www.cruisecriticboards.com, then click open the "Boards" at the top, then scroll down to "Ports of Call", then Caribbean, then Curacao. You will find a wealth of info there from people that have cruised, etc.
Good luck. Enjoy your trip.
Trip Advisor has a Curacao forum. It is not as active as some other destinations.
We stayed at the Lions Dive on Curacao by the Sea Aquarium. We enjoyed it. 3 restuarants on property and several more within walking distance as well as the Sea Aquarium. Bus stop just down the street by Breezes Resort. The beach was nice in that area.
Jean if you're not looking for a resort type place on Bonaire, look into Happy Holiday Homes. Apartment/duplexes with kitchens, a/c etc, the owners live on site. It's about 5 minutes S of the airport.
You can spend a full day up at the park on the N end, really beautiful and very few people. Have a great trip, been a few years since I went but do plan on returning one of these days.
