Message: I know that electricity in Curacao is 110 - 130 volts/50 Hertz, which is similar but not identical to the North American standard.
Do I need to bring a converter along to ensure the appropriate voltage.
Also, do they use the typical North American plugs (flat) or the European plugs (round) which would require an adaptor?
Thanks,
Darryl

You don't need an adaptor; that much I can tell you. A converter isn't usually necessary because most camcorder and computer chargers are already dual-voltage. If you don't have a dual-voltage charger, post again and perhaps someone else can tell you defnitively. I've never tried to charge a computer, camcorder, or digital camera there.
