CUBA: what is the weather like in May? Is 3 weeks a good length for a trip to Cuba?

Jump to last reply

We want to go to Cuba and right now can only travel in May. What is the weather like then there? I just melt in hot weather so it's very important to know how hot and humid it is then. We're thinking of going to Cuba for 3 weeks starting May 1. Please, if anyone knows how muggy it is there then let me know. If May is NOT a good time weather wise then what month IS?

Also is 3 weeks a good length of time to see Cuba and whereare interesting places to go but Havana (we love to see outdoors things...hike...nature..as well as get to know the local people some)??? Is 3 weeks too LONG to plan a visit (will we run out of things to do?) If one speaks Spanish fluently is it pretty easy to get to know the Cuban people.....and what is the best way to meet locals? We would like to stay in local accommodations not big faceless Americanized hotels. Any suggestions of how to buy airline tickets from BC Canada (from people who live in PNW of the USA)? Any other suggestions from people who know Cuba? Thank you.
