I don't really see what the issue is. If the story is true and the Italians are responsible for the death of the 12-year-old girl, then they should face the full consequences. If it's not, then they need to obtain justice. Debating the story here will serve no usefull purpose towards resolving the issue either way.
By the way, there are plenty of foreigners in jail in Cuba for crimes they committed while in Cuba. I don't have a problem with that either. When you visit a country, you are obliged to obey the laws of that country. Pretty simple concept. To advocate for anything other than the stern administration of justice is unfathomable.
IMHO, only sleazebags travel for sex-tourism and I have absolutely no sympathy for someone that takes advantage of the economic disparity while in a third-world country.
Why the OP is posting this on all the various Cuba travel forums, and linking to his own website instead of the original El Nuevo Herald article is beyond me. Is there a point to this?
