Cuba accomadations

Does anyone have any recommendations on hotels in Havana? Was thinking about the Golden Tulip or Santa Isabel. Also would like to spend some time on a really wonderful beach. Any suggestions where and accommadations. Also I'll be flying from the west coast and am thinking about purchasing a package deal so I don't have to walk around with a big wad of cash in my pocket. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
