Can anyone recommend the best high end places to stay in Cuba- Absolutely no reccomendations for Varadero needed- but I would like to be informed of the most expensive and decadent places to stay all over Cuba (in any city) Also anyone have a suggestion for this type of accomodation near or on the water... Price is no issue-- research on the internet is not very helpful looking for accomodations like this in Cuba- maybe they simply do not exist??? Also - the best places to scuba dive in Cuba?? Thanks so much for you help!

How do you plan to get to Cuba from the States?
If you find a way, Melia Cayo Coco and Melia Cayo Guillermo are both 4 1/2 *. I have had lots of clients go to both, and love it.
In Guardalavaca (you fly into Hoguin) Melia Rio de Oro is a very nice 5 * resort.
I know you don't want to go to Varadero, but there is going to be a Sandal's and there already in a Beaches. Also they have Paradisus Varadero which is a top of the line 5*.
Like I said, be careful though, because if you are an American you are not supposed to go to Cuba. I am in Canada, and Canadians have no problems, so you may have to come up here.
