Has anyone stayed here? I can't find any reviews. It sounds and looks nice, but I don't know a lot about this line of Hilton hotels. I'm looking for a four-star but not outrageously priced place for December.

Trip Ideas
I've stayed there a couple of times, most recently last summer. It is a nice property. The rooms were all recently remodeled and pretty modern looking (bold colors, flat screen tvs, modern furnishings). It has two pools - one of which is a saltwater pool. It's right on the ocean but most of the property abuts a rockwall. The actual beach area is quite small and not particularly nice. The casino is large. It is in a good location - near some good restaurants and a short cab ride to Old San Juan.
I am debating between the Condado and the El San Juan hotel (using hilton points and the boyfriend has hilton status, so hoping for an upgrade)...which would you choose.
What about the El Conquistador or Las Casitas?
I would definitely pick El San Juan over Condado Plaza. While I would say that the rooms are comparable at each of these properties, the El San Juan's pool area and grounds are superior, as is the beach. Also, El San Juan is great for nihgtlife, if that is important to you. It has an amazing lobby with live music, a nightclub and a nice casino. Good restaurants on premises also. It is in Isla Verde, which is further away from Old San Juan than the Condado Plaza. About a $20 dollar taxi ride.
El Conquistador/Las Casitas would be a completely different type of trip than either Condado Plaza or El San Juan. It is outside of the San Juan area. More of a secluded resort whereas the San Juan area is busy and congested. Depends on what type of vacation you are looking for.
Both hotels are excellent, It really depends on what your looking for. They have remodeled the Conrad Hotel and Casino, rooms are beautiful and colorful, the el san juan hotel is great if your into the nightlife, there's a big disco club inside called brava.. amazing.
