Competing Islands in the Caribbean
Which 3 islands in the Caribbean would you say compete directly with Saint Lucia for visitors...By cost, beauty and things to do...I would like to make a real comparison between three places including Saint Lucia.

That's not really a fair question...you need to provide more insight on what your likes are. I'm guessing you've been to St. Lucia and want mountainous islands with similar excursions.....what confused me is you tagged Cayman and St. Maarten - which are totally different.....if you elaborate, the people here can differentiate for you.

Every island has something to offer
Every island has a fan base
So
Are you trying to narrow down a trip? Are you trying to combine with St Lucia? Have you been to St Lucia and want something similar?
Tell us more, as narrowing down the information for you without knowing more requires a book! Preferably Fodors Caribbean can get you started!

Grenada is a beautiful island that may be what you're looking for. When we went there two years ago we were trying to decide between Grenada and St Lucia. We would love to return to Grenada someday. They have a rain forest that we went to for a hike which was an adventure. Their restaurants were very good and they have hotels in a variety of cost ranges.

In terms of topography: Jamaica, Grenada, Costa Rica, Dominica and Kauai, Hawaii
In terms of cost: Air to St. Lucia can be pretty pricey for some departure points as well as hotels. The above mentioned can be also except for Jamaica.
Things to do: It depends on what you are looking for. Sightseeing is a major draw as well as the waterfalls and mountian views.
