CLUB MED
I am interested in going to an adult Club Med for the first time. Does anyone have any recommendations. I would like a more upscale place. We are in our 30's. Thanks!

Hi Linda, I would recommend Club Med -
Turks & Caicos. It is a lovely resort,
with a crowd in their 30's and 40's. I
hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Laura

Club Med martinique is not upscale the rooms are very run down. Club Med Paradise Island does not have very many singles.

Call the 1-800 no. in the brochure - they are very good at guiding you to the right Club Med...
I've been to Cancun and Ixtapa...enjoyed both very much!
We have been to 2 Club Meds: Xtapa and Punta Cana. Both were great. You might also check out Robinson Club in Tulum, Mexico. We visited 2 years ago and found it to be wonderful. It's run be a German company. Drinks are included. They have a website.

My girlfriend went to Turks & Caicos Club Med and absolutely LOVED it! She met a lot of interesting people; learned how to dive and enjoyed the beautiful white beaches. I wsh I could go.

Club Med Turkoise is becoming a family resort, effective September 1999. I don't think CM has formally announced this yet, but they are planning to build a new "adults" resort on another island in Turks and Caicos.

Been to Turks, Cancun, Martinique and Hualtulco. Liked them all and would definitely reccommend. I hear Playa Blanca is also fun.

We've been to three clubs (Martinique, Cancun and Huatulco) and would highly recommend Cancun as it was recently renovated and has a more 'upscale' feel. Martinique was fun but depending on when you go the guests will be mainly from France and the GO's can speak limited English. The rooms are very run-down. Huatulco is family-oriented. We hear great things about the Turks and will be going in August.
