Chic, Boutique Hotels

I'm looking for small and hip little hotels that don't break the bank in the Caribbean - no white tile floors and loud, tropical print bedspreads, etc.

The ones I've found so far and liked are:

Jakes, Tensing Pen & Rockhouse in Jamaica
Laluna in Grenada
Ladera in St. Lucia
Compass Point in Bahamas

Does anyone have to add to this list?

Thanks in advance!!

La Banane in St. Barths
Quite "W" in style, wenge wood, clean lined furniture.

Tiamo in Andros (well-a bit expensive but all inclusive) and Kamalame Cay in the Bahamas are chic. Fernandez Bay Village in the Bahamas is also good.

Many of the places you mentioned fit the bill. We loved Compass Pt. but Island Outposts no longer operates it. I tried getting an update on their status on this board and heard nothing. Question whether they are the same.

I very highly recommend La Luna in Grenada. I stayed there last year and thought it was wonderful. Search on my name for a trip report, and feel free to ask any further questions.

These are exactly the type of lodging we love , problem is they usually come with a bit of a price tag , GoldenEye in jamaica also looks super . The Cotton House and Firefly on Mustique , ahhhh .... Just for fun you could check out Verana and Majahuitas in Peurta Vallarta , future trip !! Faith

Mar Blue in Treasure Beach, a somewhat more deluxe alternative to Jake's (and smaller).
