Hi, we are heading to Grand Cayman this week and would appreciate any advice or tips you can share. We are looking for info regarding dining, snorkeling, fun places for sunsets & drinks, basically anything we shouldn't miss while we are there. Thanks!

Where are you staying and will you have a car? I can tell you what we liked most, but we do always rent a car for the entire stay. GC is safe enough to be able to drive to restaurants, etc. at night.
We stayed on 7MB and in West Bay. Most will tell you that the beach in the Westin area is the best section.
My husband went diving a few times and it was fantastic. We took Capt. Marvin's Stingray City tour last year and the year before and it was great. We saw different varieties of sea life each time. If you have children, the Turtle Farm is fun. There are lots of places to snorkle from the shore---Smith's cove, by the Cracked Conch, at Eden Rock. You should do a search for cayman tourism to get some good sites that will give you a list. Divecayman is good.
The food is excellent, although quite pricey. Hope you're aware that the $US is only worth $.80 in Cayman. Good inexpensive: Eats (which may not be reopened yet), Chicken, Chicken
Medium priced favorites: Cafe Med, Ragazzi's
Expensive Best: Calypso Grill (also may not be reopened yet), Smuggler's Cove, Cassanova (not sure of their prices, but heard it was excellent).

You will think you have found paradise when it comes to the dining in GC. Casanova's was our favorite, an italian spot in George Town. We also liked Smugglers. Reservations are essential. Ragazzi's looks like an ordinary restaurant, but the food is way above average. The best snorkeling spot is Parrot's Landing. Look for the 'What's Hot' which is a free publication to check out the nightlife. GC is expensive, but you won't be hassled by vendors on the beach and you don't need to be afraid to walk around after dark

We loved snorkeling and just hanging out at Rum Point. Go later in the day when it is not crowded. Have fun!

Our favorite restaurants were The Reef Grill and Smugglers Cove. For casual food and drinks, we enjoyed Coconut Joe's...very fun place.

Best snorkleing we found was at Cemetery Reef of off North 7MB.

We love Eden Rock. We've seen things there we've never seen at any of the other places we snorkeled. Last year it was the biggest baraccuda we'd ever seen...the year before it was several turtles. Cemetery reef is nice, as is Smiths cove. Where is Parrots Landing? If it's good we'd surely like to see it when we are there in April!

If you have a car go to the tip of Cayman Kai [near Kaibo Yacht club] and walk along the shore and you will see so many starfish while wading. We've never been disappointed in this walk.

Captain Marvin's all day snorkel trip is wonderful. Dive for conch [and eat it!] in season, the coral reef, lunch on the beach at Kaibo and then Stingray City sandbar. It's a great trip!
