Catalonia Resort...any info?

Has anyone every heard or been to this resort in Punta Cana? I have a friend who is going and she was wondering if anyone's been there and what they thought of it.

Laurie, My husband and I went Catalonia last summer and it was the worst vacation we ever went on. The staff are rude and do not understand English. It may have changed since last August, but we have been to most of the Carribean and this resort was terrible! It was pretty, but the staff and service spoiled its' appearance. I wouldn't recommend it; unless you are fluent speaking Spanish. Also, we were there during Hurricane Debbie to add to the misery. Good Luck!!!
