Carry on size Bahamas
Hi wise fodorites! We are vacationing in the Bahamas and are hoping to do carry on only. I've heard that international carriers can be stricter regarding carry on size. We are flying on Delta. Does the size restriction hold true on these international flights?

Thank you schmerl, but, what an airline says is their carry on size is not always what they restrict carry on baggage to be. In the US, very few passengers adhere to the carry on limits. My main concern right now is the length of a pair of flippers.

You should refer to Delta's website. It clearly spells out what size/number of bags are allowed on their flights to various parts of the world.

One customer service person informing the size is all it takes to be rejected, even in US.
So you might have to check
"but I've carried the same bag before with no problems" doesn't work anymore
PS unless you're going to Androsterone or San Salvador (Out Islands) snorkeling is just okay, you might want to just count on rentals or fins with the excursions. In general snorkeling in Bahamas is average at best....(exception the 2 I named)
