Carnivale in St. Barts

Is Carnivale celebrated on St. Barts? Does anyone know the dates for 2008? I will be there in early February and am hoping that Carnivale will be going on then.

it starts feb 5.

Be aware that Gustavia is closed off from around noon for the parade, so come in early and dressed ridiculously!

Just realised, unfortunately you will miss it.

Carnaval takes place on the fifth, with the burning of the Carnaval King the following day.

Thanks for the update,Waring. Being there for Carnivale would have been great. I'll plan for a future trip to coincide with Carnivale.

My boss is traveling to St. Barts in February and basically told me to book his travel during Carnivale. He went to St. Bart's this year from 2/16 - 2/24 and attended Carnivale during one of these days. Will Carnivale take place during the same time in 2008? When does it actually end?
