Caribbean Water but South Pacific Island Look
We love the beautiful Caribbean water but would like to have the lush coconut palm, Hawaiian island look to go with it. Do you know of any places in the Caribbean or Mexico that might come close to this?

I've never been to Hawaii, but I've been around the Caribbean a little bit and I just came back from Jamaica. Jamaica is the lushest island I've seen. the resort we stayed at ( Couples Negril ) was very lush with lots of tropical plants and palm trees.
I can't wait to go back next year!
Laurie - St Lucia is the island that comes to mind of similarities to Hawaii, but not the water. Jamaica or St John or BVI have bluer water. I do not consider Hawaii the South Pacific. Tahiti, the Cook Islands, etc are what I consider South Pacific and there is a real difference between say, Tahiti's water and Hawaii. Tahiti's is MUCH nicer. I have been to all of the Hawaiian Isalnds except Niihau and Molokai and I do think that the Caribbean water, in general, is nicer, than Hawaii's. By nicer, I mean, bluer, clearer and that is due to the volcanic topography of Hawaii.
