My fiance and I are working with a travel agent to plan our honeymoon for February 2010. She has sent a wide range of options, and I think we have narrowed it down quite a bit. Between these, we are looking most seriously at Stonefield Estates in St. Lucia and Little Arches in Barbados. I like the idea of St. Martin, but the properties she has shown us in our price range there do not look nearly as nice, which is important to me.
We have never been to either destination and I'm not too familiar with either island. We obviously want a romantic, relaxing trip and a beautiful property and beach. We also want a place with some culture and a little bit of nightlife. Water sports and spa would be a plus, but most important to us is a beautiful place with a mix of relaxation and fun things to do.
Have you been to either property and would you recommend one island over the other for a honeymoon? Any help would be wonderful.

Trip Ideas
Barbados has at least some of everything the Caribbean has to offer, except for a volcano. Lovely people, wide range of hotels, restaurants, beaches, sightseeing. Little Arches is not right on a beach, if that is important to you. Also, it is on the southwest coast, where the water is not very calm, particularly in winter. If staying beachfront is important, and where you can swim/snorkel easily, look at the calm west coast north of Bridgetown. If you can afford it, Coral Reef Club is the class act on the island. Family owned for around 60 years (and the care shows), low rise plantation style, gorgeous grounds, beachfront restaurant, wade in snorkeling. Their prices include all service charges and taxes. xkenx has given you a perfect answer Coral Reef Hotel is perfect,Colony Club Hotel is also a perfect one. Barbados is more beautiful than St.Lucia the west coast of Barbados is ideal there is lots of water sports at both hotels and most are included except for jetski there are both next to each other with the Folkestone Marine Park for snorkeling in crystal clear water.
