Hi. I'm going to be staying at the Marriott for a week in March and I would like to know which car rental company on St. Kitts is the best or which have you had good experiences with. I have looked at Denise Walwyn, TDC, Hertz and Avis. I like the selection that Denise walwyn and TDC have but I'm always leery to reserve a car from a company that isn't a major chain. Can you help me? Thanks.

TDC is affiliated with Thrifty. Delise Walwyn is a very reputable local company. They are professional and competitive.
For convenience sake, Hertz and Avis have a desk at the Marriott.
You will have no problem with renting.
We have rented from Delisle Walwyn each year for the past few trips. We have never had any problems.
It's a small island and all the companies (even with an affiliation with a major chain) are pretty small and local.
Take the best one for your needs but don't worry about the independents--TDC and Delisle Walwyn are, by St. Kitts standards, large island businesses.

We were at the Marriott in July and rented from TDC so we could make use of the "switch" policy they have. We were able to have a car on Nevis for no extra charge with only a day's notice (it was low season). We had a great experience and I would highly recommend them. We did walk through the parking lot at the hotel one day and came across a guest changing a tire on a rental car. He was furious with Hertz because they told him to bring him the flat tire!
TDC seems to be a huge company on St. Kitts with many different types of businesses under one umbrella. On the last day we were able to leave the car at the hotel and the keys with a TDC employee at the hotel, their travel/tour dept. That saved us some time dealing with the airport and the trip back to town.
