Our phones did not work. We buy prepaid phone cards for the amount that you wish and called from the Marriott. The cards were available in the Marriott's store for $10 and up, depending on the amount of time you want. Last year, we bought a prepaid phone card at an internet cafe and called from there while in the city.
Your Cingular phone should work, mine does. However, they charge about $4.00 per minute, so I would not do that. Get a pre-paid card.
