BVI bareboat must-dos
We are beginning a bareboat trip next week from Tortola. This will be our 4th trip. Anything we must do--must see--go for dinner. We are looking for AWESOME. Thanks!

Given that it's your 4th trip, you've probably already done/seen most of the best stuff. But, for whatever they're worth, here are some of my suggestions:
- If you haven't been to the Baths, go!! Go early (really early) or go late, to avoid the crowds.
- Go to Anegada. The beaches are incredible. Also, be sure to have dinner at the Anegada Reef Hotel: fresh grilled lobster.
- A trip to the BVI is not complete for me without spending a day (and perhaps a night, depending...) at White Bay and the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke. There are now a dozen moorings opposite Ivan's.
- A tradition for us is to have our first night dinner or last night dinner (if on shore) at C&F. The ribs are to die for, but I always opt for the whole grilled fish.
- Don't forget there is life beyond the shores. Try hiking, even if it's as minimal as hitting the trails behind Bitter End. Or try Mt. Sage on Tortola. The views are spectacular.

Little Harbor on Peter Island - drop bow anchor 50' from shore, tie stern to rocks near the old boathouse, play Buffett's "One Particular Harbor." Sail into (carefully) Savannah Bay on Virgin Gorda - great beach (Little Dix uses it as their 'private beach) snorkel reef. Try deep water snorkel of the aft section of the Rhone off of Salt Island - use anchor ball if you get there early. Anchor in Christmas Cove on St. James - snorkel around the small island.

If you have not screamed at the top of your lungs "AAAAARRRGH" with the one man band at the bar at the top of Marina Cay, then you have really missed out!!!
If you stay at Marina Cay be sure and eat at Donovans Reef.If you call on the radio for reservations they will pick you up and ferry you to the restaurant from your boat. The food was very good and the atmosphere was delightful.

There is a restaurant on Jost Van Dyke (Little Harbor) that had a good, cheap seafood dinner, I forget the name, but it had lots of old t-shirts hanging from the ceiling.
If leaving from RoadTown, stock up at the South African-owned Internet Cafe, they have cheap Amarula and South African wine.
On our first night and last night in RoadTown, we were moored right next to the Bat Cave. It is a fun bar that stays open VERY late (or early, depending on your point of view). I think they were still blasting music at 5:00 am when we were there.
If the weather cooperates, stay at Cane Garden Bay. Also stay at the Bight on Norman Island. Go to the Indians and the Baths off Virgin Gorda.
