Building work on Jumby Bay?

I'm due out to Jumby Bay on my honeymoon in about 2 weeks time and am really looking forward to it. However, I have read that there might be disruptive building works going on (recent trip report on tripadvisor) Has anyone just come from there who can let me know? If true, can you let me know the extent? With thanks in advance.

The construction is between the rondavel rooms closest to the southwestern shore and the shore itself. Jumby Bay has not been renting the rooms to the construction. You can't see the construction site from the windows or porches of the other rondavels. If you're in the Pond Bay house or a courtyard suite, you won't be within a half mile of the site, which is largely draped over the hill going down to the water away from the resort.

I was there a couple of months ago. As the previous poster says, the construction is near the rondavel rooms, not Pond Bay House. It is also screened off so it is hidden to some extent. We had a rondavel room and some mornings we could hear the construction work a bit, but it certainly didn't spoil our stay there. If you want (and can post an email address) I could send you a photo showing where the work was in progress.

Thanks for your help, I appreciate it. A photo would be great, email is [email protected] Anything you can tell me additionally about your experiences on Jumby would be brilliant. We are staying in a courtyard suite. Thanks again.

Relax, if you are staying in a court yard suite you will not hear a thing.
Enjoy, the outdoor shower is wonderful,
the service is the best, and the relaxing beach is wonderful. Fine dining too, nothing to sign, just pure bliss!
