I hope this reply hasn't come too late for you.
I was at Brisas del Caribe last May. It is a beautiful resort with a beautiful beach. Be careful when you check in on what type of room they give you. We had requested an ocean view with a king bed, but were given a garden view with 2 singles. Only after demanding a room change did we get what we asked for. If you can ask for a room on the 4th floor (410-418). The food is plentiful, probably the best is at the 24hour cafe (great pizzas!). There is an a la carte restaurant as well as the buffet, and although no one tells you, the beach grill that is open at lunch is also open for dinner. The food overall was OK. A lot to choose from, the roast meats are especially good. There is 24 hour room-service which you can have delivered to anywhere in the hotel i.e. at the pool. They definitely do not water down the drinks. At one point I had to ask them to add more juice to the drink because it was so strong!
The rooms are spacious and always clean. The maids arrange your towels on the bed in a decorative way every day. The beach and pool area are beautiful. The beach bar serves great fruit slushies. Sometimes the waves get high, but they are fun to play in. The water is so clear! The staff is very friendly, but don't let them sell you any cigars! I would definitely go there again!!
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your reply. I didn't see it until our return but agree fully. We first were given a ground floor room but had no problem changing to second floor ocean view.We didn't think to take a converter for the 220 voltage, a bit of a pain.Anyone going say hello to Josa and Jacqueline in the a la carte restaurant. The staff couldn't be nicer.
